It's that social faux pas nobody runs away from; it happens to everyone, some more than others. It's a dainty finger slap that awkwardly tries to mask itself as an endearing high five — when someone was off their game at an exact moment there needed to be professional focus, throwing the whole interaction through the damn window. 

And they're hard to watch, too. Just take this 2010 installation done by Turkish artist Deniz Ozuygur. It's simply two hands, one on rotation, endlessly missing the pivotal high five.
