At least four different attacks by deer and elk have been confirmed in Colorado this year, and while that may not seem like a lot, we can’t help but feel as though this is the beginning of something greater, like full out war against grazing herd animals, or perhaps a Hollywood crossover involving Bambi and Rambo: First Blood.
From Estes Park to Colorado Springs, multiple attacks have been confirmed on various hikers across the state. What do they all have in common? Well, every article referencing the attacks likes to use the verb “stomped” when describing how the animals accosted the victims.
While there’s nothing funny about getting stomped by a deer, we can’t help but laugh at the verbiage, as the word “stomped” makes us think that the attacks are gang-affiliated.
The attacks come after Orcas have been targeting multiple yachts around the world, even sinking one off the coast of Morocco in May. As humanity continues to try to coexist with various species whose habitats we’ve impeded on, we must be vigilant as we prepare for our coming retribution stemming from our soon-to-be non-human mammalian overlords.
