How do you feel about these “Trunk or Treat” alternatives to traditional trick or treating?

I’m glad you asked loyal reader, cuz I fucking hate them with every fiber of my being. But In these strange times we live in I understand that we are never going to go back to the blissful times of my youth where we were free to roam on halloween, with total lack of safety and supervision. With that being said I have devised a way to make Trunk or Treating cool. We Combine the tradition Trunk or Treat with a good ol Federal Blvd Low Rider Meet. Think about it. Instead of walking up to the 17th Subaru Crosstrek in a row and being disappointed by some sort of gross natural candy from whole foods, your kids could get a king sized KitKat from some dude in a ‘64 Impala hittin switches. Now your kids are laughing, you are having fun, it’s a great time for the whole family and there’s probably some message about diversity in there somewhere.

What should I be this year for halloween?

Obviously you can go with something from a recent hit movie like Deadpool, or Dune 2: but I try to always make my costume go with my activities for the evening. Like for this year I was thinking of just bouncing around town crashing as many parties as I can. That’s why I’m going to be a Boeing 737 Max.

Do you think that Pasquale Rotella buying dance clubs in Denver will be good for the music scene?

For those of you who don’t know Pasquale is the owner of Insomniac and the Founder of the US’s largest EDM music festival EDC Las Vegas. Recently it’s been rumored that Pasquale may have purchased The Church and Vinyl here in the Mile High City. Does this mean that he will be breathing some Electric Daisy life into these aging clubs? Maybe! The Denver EDM community has high standards for their nightlife and those are some big shoes to fill but Pasquale has the reputation to fill them. I’ll be a fan if he can just fix the Air Conditioning at The Church.

For spooky season, I want to take my friends to some scary places in Colorado. Where should we go?

Riverdale Road:

Riverdale Road has long been a famous haunt here in Colorado. Commuting in general is scary enough in Colorado with all these terrible drivers but this road specifically is said to be haunted by *switches to spooky voice* A PEEEEEEEDEEEEEEESTRIAN! I know, right? Terrifying. I guess people say they see a girl walking along the side of the road near a bridge. Maybe it’s a ghost?

The Black Monarch Hotel:

This place is v.spooky. First off it’s in the middle of nowhere, and nothing is spookier than lack of wifi. I know some people will say you should go to the Stanley Hotel but I have checked it out and it was kinda creepy but there are so many people and staff wandering around it’s hard to really get the full heeby jeebs experience. The Black Monarch only has a handful of rooms and each one has been remodeled to give a unique spooky experience as opposed to the Stanley which is only spooky cuz of how old it is and the random smells. I get enough of those creepy nights just staying in local hotels when I’m on tour (I’m looking at you Ohio).

Club Vinyl:

Where do we start? How about how the club is an old morgue or something and there are body furnaces in the basement? It’s almost as if whatever evil spirits still inhabit this club are still cursing the building to this day, from the roof collapsing in 2003, the years of random violence, all the way to recently when I performed there and they accidently gave me Grey Goose instead of Casa Migos for my drink rider! And let’s not forget the spookiest thing of all: When a man dressed as a clown stabbed some guy to death with a homemade “knife glove” across the street from the cursed club. Think I just made that up? Look it up! As the kids would say I’m being dead ass af FRFR.
