Smokejumpers in Southern Oregon had an unexpected surprise when they parachuted out of a plane intending to fight a fire and instead ended up landing in an illegal pot field. The six jumpers notified authorities who hiked into the remote area where local Mexican gangs are known to operate, seizing two guns and 1,000 plants. As for the fire, it was extinguished after burning only an acre.
