Coffee shop owner taxes rude customers and by god it actually works
Unless you're part of the problem, you've likely noticed not all people in society adhere to standards of politeness and general decency. "Give me this" and "Ugh" are pivotal parts of their lexicon, and to the surprise of probably no one, garners them the same amount of things as everyone else with no recourse.
That is until Austin Simms, a coffee shop owner in Roanoke, Virginia, got so tired of this shit. He decided rude customers were a drain on his chi and started charging them more for the pleasure of his work.
“I decided because I need to solve all the injustices of the world to start charging more for people who didn’t take the time to say hello and connect and realize we’re all people behind the counter,” Simms told his local news station WDBJ.
