Much to our confusion, Forbes names Puff Daddy Wealthiest Hip-Hop Artist

It's quite an ironic title for a man who hasn't released a recognizable song himself in oh, about a decade. But, nevertheless, Forbes delivered a swift kick of reality to our nuts with yet another list of people who are doing something more substantial with their lives than us, even if it has nothing to do with songs.

This time, our fifth-favorite magazine compiled a list of the world's wealthiest hip-hop artists that reads like a veritable scroll of villains from a superhero adventure. Leading the pack was the man who can't decide what his name is himself, Puff Daddy/ P.Diddy/ Sean Combs with a $700 million fortune he earned by doing everything but making music (Revolt TV and Ciroc Vodka). Trailing him at #2 , the formidable doctor of music Dr. Dre and his Beats company boasts a cool $550 million. In the rear, Forbes placed Jay-Z ($520 million), Birdman ($160 million) and 50 Cent ($140 million, aka a bunch of cents).

So there you have it, making money in the music business requires making everything besides music.
