Want to submit art for Rooster's 1st Annual Tattoo Competition? Here's how

Tattoo artists are like Subways, every shopping center has one. And much like Subway, you're not sure what you're going to get depending on the location. So Rooster is setting out to find Colorado's hidden gem tattoo artists by hosting the first ever Rooster Tattoo Competition. It's free to submit art. All artist submissions and their tattoo shops will be featured in the magazine, and best of all, the winner gets the cover of Rooster plus a smorgosborg of other prizes to help support and grow the business. Whether you are a tattoo artist or you know a great tattoo artist, follow our instructions below on how to submit. 


  1. Be a Tattoo artist, or tell your tattoo artist “Dude, you should totally enter this, you’re stuff is so sick...dude.”

  2. Using the template logo below, recreate and repurpose our logo in your own tattoo style. Get creative!You can work directly on this page or your own. Feel free to work digitally as well.

  3. Scan your work @600 dpi and email it to:

    SUBJECT: Tattoo Competition
    Please include your FIRST, AND LAST NAME
    and the TATTOO SHOP where you do your thing. *If you’re working digitally submit files as
    JPG format at 300 dpi or higher.



  • Your art as the October cover of Rooster Magazine. (60,000 issues distributed across Colorado)

  • A feature of your work in the October issue.

  • Grand Prize Winner receives a prize pack.

  • $1,200 of advertising credit for you or your shop.

  • Select submissions will be featured online and in print.
