Watch a rabbi, priest and gay athiest become best friends after smoking weed

How many bar jokes do you know with the punch line "And then they all became great friends and finally understood each other!"? Probably -14 or so, right?

Well, here's one you can add to the count to bring yourself closer to zero: a rabbi, a priest and an atheist walk into a room and ... blaze a mega-bong for hours until they can see each other's historically disparate perspectives, thereby uncovering the inherent, mutual humanity in all of us.

A real knee slapper, that one!

It's real though, and it comes in the form of a clip produced by Cut in Washington state, one of the few places where it's legal for people to do this. The rabbi, Jim Mirel, is the Rabbi Emeritus at Temple B’nai Torah in Bellevue, the priest is Rev. Chris Schuller, who once served as the rector at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg, Florida and later made news for posting a pro-marijuana video, and the atheist, Carlos, is a self-described “conservative homosexual” who grew up in both the Southern Baptist and Roman Catholic faiths. History and social context say these men should want nothing to do with each other, but it becomes clear from the first bong rip that a little weed can turn that kind of frown upside down real quickly.

At one point after getting so high they can jiggle God's balls, the rabbi says of marijuana: “If it helps you become a better person, if it lifts you up, gives you a new view of life, it’s a very positive thing.”

Daw. Weed is just the universal life force, isn't it?
