Things are warming up, summer clothes are coming out, and people are getting ready to hit the trails. And, just in time for National Trails day! Hosted by the American Hiking Society, on the first Saturday of every June, it’s a holiday to get out, to explore the wilderness, enjoy the natural splendor of the wide world of nature.
And, of course, a holiday to drink great beer outside.
“When Nature Calls, I take in the sunset with my boo. Because watching the world go by is always better with brews for two. #BrewersInTheWild”
This year, 10 Barrel Brewing is helping celebrate with their #drinkitforward beers — a line of brews that dedicates a portion of every sale to different outdoor initiatives like the Outdoor Alliance, The Conservation Alliance, the Surfrider Foundation, and Trout Unlimited’s Home Rivers Initiative.
It’s a simple means of supporting nature, while also getting your trail-buzz on.
Why not? There’s no better place to enjoy a beer. Especially when the beer your enjoying directly benefits programs that support our trails and wild places. It’s drinking for a good cause.
"When Nature Calls I let my hair down, slip on my most #brewfluencer hat, and hit the fields for a picnic with my squad #BrewersInTheWild”
This year for National Trails Day, 10 Barrel is presenting their Nature Calls IPA — a mesh of West Coast IPA and East Coast Hazy IPA styles that delivers a smooth profile of mango, tangerine and grapefruit. A refreshing trail-beer that will put a little pep in your step at 6.5% ABV. Every six- or twelve-pack, and every keg of the Nature Calls IPA sold helps support The Conservation Alliance, a non-profit that’s dedicated to protecting North America’s wild places — so that wild animals and wild people can enjoy them in all their wild splendor.
Or, try the 10 Barrel Hazy Trail IPA — a delightfully hazy, malty, tropically hopped up beer that hits the hazy style IPA on the head. 10 Barrel donates a portion of all proceeds from the Hazy Trail IPA to the Outdoor Alliance, whose sole mission is to protect the places we ski, hike, climb, paddle, and bike.
Even if you miss out on drinking either of these beers on National Trails Day this year (June 5th) you can still support these and other outdoor initiatives with 10 Barrel beer, any time of year. Just check out their website, or visit the brewery, and get ready to #drinkitforward.
