A French art piece featuring two dented empty beer cans was mistaken for garbage and thrown away by a Dutch museum worker last month, once again giving us a chance to point out to our girlfriend that an empty twelve pack left in an overflowing recycling bin isn’t “excessive” or “bordering on alcoholism” but art.
The piece, entitled “All the Good Times We Spent Together” by French artist Alexandre Lavet featured two acrylic hand painted beer cans, and was luckily recovered before trash day.
While we think it’s a great concept for a piece of art, we do think the idea is a tad abstract. In all of our years on this Earth we’ve never known a single person to just drink two beers.
