We know what you’re thinking: “Wow, Tyson Beckford’s much more attractive younger brother makes great music?” And — while we understand the confusion — we unfortunately have to tell everyone the vocal angel behind Kid Astronaut is not, in fact, Beckford’s hotter kin. But that shouldn’t dissuade anyone from checking out the new music video for the single “Elevate” — which we spoke on a few days back when the official single was released.

You know why we can get behind a track like this? It’s not just because of the emotionally fulfilling and neck-cramping backend, but also because we understand what local artist Jon Shockness (now known as Kid Astronaut) is delivering through his uplifting prose. He has a powerful message, and behind every powerful message deserves proper enunciation to get it out from point artist to point listener.
