Around this time every year we’re all about shaking off the bad karma and there’s no better way to do it than to help out those in need. With that, our favorite Colorado-culture defining restaurant/bar(s) Illegal Pete’s is sponsoring the Colorado Gives Day in partnership with Youth On Record.

The goal is to raise at least $50,000 in support of YOR music programs, which has been on absolute fire the past few years helping underprivileged children discover music and realize their dreams of becoming harmonic superstars.

Follow these three easy steps to be a part of the cool crowd:

1. Click here and enter in your pledge amount. All donations will be processed on Dec 9. Do everyone a solid by entering your name or organization’s name so that you can get a shout out on social media and websites.

2. Widen the charity’s reach by sharing your support via social media or word of mouth. Official event hastags are: #COMusicGives and #COGivesDay.

3. Finally, party with Illegal Pete’s at either the Denver (Broadway) or Boulder (Hill) locations from 6 pm to Midnight on Dec 9. Live music, beer, food and fun to be had by all!

About the event per a recent press release:

"On December 9th, Youth on Record aims to raise $50,000 in support of their music programs for at-risk high school students. The effort, supported by Illegal Pete’s and their record label, Greater Than Collective, and DaVita Healthcare Partners, includes a combined $25,000 matching gift from both entities, and will culminate with musician and donor appreciation parties at Illegal Pete’s in Denver, Fort Collins and Boulder.

Further, a special invitation to a secret show with Shakey Graves on December 13th will be extended only to those who donate to Youth on Record between now and midnight, December 9th. Other supporters of the Colorado Gives Day effort for Youth on Record include Denver’s Underground Music Showcase and 7S Management."
