The festival is something of a big deal 'round these hills …

Hear ye, hear ye. We’ve something else for you to do this summer and it doesn’t involve recklessly demanding booze from a Taco Bell drive-thru or hand-crafting your own morphine — we’re talking about the 3rd annual High Plains Comedy Festival this Aug 20-22, 2015.

It’s something of a big deal ‘round these hills.

This year the team (comedians Andy Juett and Adam Cayton-Holland along with Pete Turner and Virgil Dickerson of Illegal Pete’s) announces Anthony Jeselnik as the festival’s headliner — while tapping a larger venue than years past for its culmination.

Because of the demand in the past few years, the event has struggled to find a big enough locale to host its final performances. While most shows will still be in various venues along the South Broadway corridor, this year’s finale will be held at the historical Paramount Theater.

T-shirts for the event are priced at $125, but includes a pass good for free entry to all of the shows over the 3-day weekend … see what we did there?

A larger string of comics will be announced in the coming months, and a schedule of each performance is forthcoming as well — just be patient and keep your pants on. Or don’t.

For now …
