Look for the haggard wino in a Rooster t-shirt. That's not us, just look for him, is all we're saying …

Tuesday, Oct 20 – Wednesday, Oct 21
Run The Jewels
Ogden Theatre

The thing about Run The Jewels is that this duo is making headlines for the right reasons. They’re not dating a Kardashian, trying to kill a competitor and aren’t kicking fans in the face from the stage (like other hip-hop artists are). They’re running the game with strong political and social aptitude while delivering righteous examples of what true artists need to emulate to be taken seriously. El-P and Killer Mike’s visions are sincere, their rhymes are bulletproof, and the independent, grassroots style marketing is nothing but solid. Run The Jewels is the best thing to happen to music in years.

Thursday, Oct 8 – Friday, Oct 9
Infected Mushroom
Gothic Theatre

This isn’t going to be so much a performance as it is a history lesson. Infected Mushroom helped define electronic music, and the genre owes a debt of gratitude to it. As one of the best selling groups in Israeli music’s history, the psych-trance icons promise to deliver a banger of a set. Class is in session.

Friday, Oct 9
Savoy
Fox Theatre

One of the first acts to incorporate live instrumentation into its electro-drenched DJ sets, Savoy brings it back for a 5-night trip through Colorado, hitting Ft. Collins, Boulder, Denver and a few of those mountain towns. And the lasers. Oh, the lasers! Rejoice — the boys are back in town!

Thursday, Oct 15
Illenium
Bluebird Theater

Nick Miller has been a busy guy this year. Listed recently as UKF’s “Ones To Watch,” he’s managed to uphold the distinction while traveling just about everywhere for festival appearances and tour schedules alike. Pregame before the show with his massive remix library on SoundCloud — prepare for fire.

Friday, Oct 16
MURS
Fox Theatre

There’s no other way to put it: MURS is a hip-hop legend. If he hasn’t released it himself, he’s probably been featured on it or had some part in it — that’s how prominent of an artist he is in the underground. His newest, “Have A Nice Life” is one of the hottest releases of 2015. Showtime.

Sunday, Oct 18
The Roots
Ogden Theatre

Taking time away from its role as the greatest house band on late night television, The Roots brings its iconic hip-hop, neo soul sound back to the Mile High for a night away from Jimmy Fallon’s over-played gimmicks and repetitive skits. They’re an important band. Come see why.

Wednesday, Oct 21
Hollywood Undead
Summit Music Hall

10 days until Halloween, close enough for masks — so long as you’re not making any trips to the bank beforehand. While the rap rock / nu metal act has its haters, there’s no denying it hasn’t done something impressive with its longevity. With a new album in tow, expect fans new and old.

———-

Friday, Oct 23 – Saturday, Oct 24
Shakey Graves
Ogden Theatre

If you don’t know Shakey Graves, you need to know Shakey Graves. Alejandro Rose-Garcia is a musician that can do no wrong — at least not in Colorado. The Austin, TX–based Americana artist is a soulful one indeed, and this state’s music fans love him for it. Two nights at the Ogden? Well done, good sir.

Wednesday, Oct 28
Marina + The Diamonds
Ogden Theatre

Maybe you caught her at Coachella, maybe you didn’t. But now’s your chance to make up for it; we reckon you ought to. As a singer/songwriter with more of a pop and dance sensibility, Marina Diamandis is a genuine treat for your ears. The Neon Nature Tour is live: wear bright colors.

———-

Saturday, Oct 31
Con Bro Chill
Bluebird Theater

Whoa, dude, whoa. If party rock and (again) neon body-décor is your bag, you’ll want to be here. Con Bro Chill is downright silly with its love of the over-stuffed package and party animal mantras. The brahs likely have something radical planned for its Halloween show. Do you even Con Bro Chill, bro?
