Boulder residents, college students and visitors alike will rejoice over the opening of Boulder Social, a new restaurant, brewery and social hangout located on the corner of 38th and Arapahoe in Boulder. This new concept was created by local entrepreneurs Frank and Gina Day, showcasing their passion for high quality food, flavorful beer, and craft cocktails, and their love of bringing the community together. Guests can enjoy lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and one of the best happy hours in town. The mouthwatering menu offers something for everyone, with hand-tossed Colorado rustic pizzas, sushi, burgers, sandwiches, (with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options), plus a full liquor bar, and house-brewed craft beer coming soon.

The space boasts plenty of room for gatherings of all sizes, with a bustling indoor dining room featuring 15 large-screen TVs and a stylish center bar. Patrons can also soak up the sun on the outdoor (heated, misted, covered, and shaded) patio with garage door access to the bar, and fun yard games on offer. Boulder Social is the perfect entertainment venue for small or large parties, whether it be a sports-watch party, a social group meet-up, a live music event, date night with your honey, or beers with friends.

At the center of the creative food and beverage menu are the hand-tossed, made-to-order pizzas, cooked in the restaurant’s pizza oven. Guests can choose from 12 Specialty Pizzas, such as the Hot Honey with crushed San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, hot capocollo, bacon marmalade, and habanero honey, or opt to make their own with a large selection of toppings (including 20 vegetables), plus a variety of classic and Italian meats, sauces, cheeses, drizzles, and enhancements. Dietary restrictions are respected here, with gluten-free crust and impossible meat options.

The menu offers a wide selection of Burgers as well (made with double 3-ounce smashed Certified Angus Beef patties), and Sandwiches, including the Vegan Ruben with portobello mushroom, red sauerkraut, and vegan Russian dressing on marbled rye bread. Like sister restaurant Stout Street Social in Denver, Boulder Social has an exclusive Raw Bar where guests can watch the chef shuck oysters and prepare handmade sushi rolls right in the dining room. Patrons can also choose to start the evening off with a signature appetizer – such as Grilled Peach Burrata — then explore the rich flavors of the Social Favorites with large plates like pan-seared Rocky Mountain Trout. Dessert is a requirement – a house favorite is the irresistible Ice Cream Social Cookie for 2 or 4 people to share, served with Vanilla Ice Cream, or end the meal with a dessert craft cocktail.

Boulder Social also offers a Weekend Brunch, available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 3pm. Guests can choose from a variety of unique menu items, such as the Breakfast Pizza or the vegetarian “Chicken” & Waffles with vanilla malted waffle and fried cauliflower. Wash it all down with a classic Mimosa or Bloody Mary (both available in glasses and carafes), or opt for something a little more adventurous, like the Frozen Mimosa Margarita or the delicious Maple Old Fashioned.

The new restaurant is debuting one of Boulder’s best Happy Hours, with $2 off Draft Beers, Frozen Drinks, Social Cocktails, Wines by the Glass, and Sushi Rolls. Guest will also enjoy $2 Oyster Shucks and small plates starting at $6, such as the Mini Cheese 6” Pizza and Fried Green Tomatoes. Boulder Social’s brewery will open soon and offer a flavorful selection of house-brewed Social Beers. In the meantime, guests can enjoy a large selection of local and classic guest taps and discover a new favorite beer with Boulder Social’s Beer Flights. The restaurant also serves a wide variety of cocktails, including craft creations like the Elderflower Basil Martini, featuring Colorado’s own Breckenridge Distillery. A selection of 5 Frozen Drinks options, available with or without alcohol, is perfect to enjoy on a hot summer day (or anytime, really), and guests can also partake in Boulder Social’s extensive wine list.

Owned by local legends Frank and Gina Day, Boulder Social is drawing on their decades of brewing and hospitality experience, including the introduction of Colorado’s first microbrewery, Boulder Beer Company. Boulder Social has a 10-barrel, 3-vessel brewhouse that will allow Boulder Social to brew beer that pairs perfectly with happy hour and the diverse lunch and dinner menu. Watch their website and social media for updates announcing the upcoming Social Beer selection. Boulder Social is the newest addition to Concept Restaurants, Inc., also owned by the Days. Their passion for superior service, unique flavors, and a cool local vibe is manifested within the new restaurant and brewery. Entering the Restaurant and Hospitality business in the mid-1970s, the Days have extensive experience with leading successful businesses that become community staples. One that many Boulder families still remember with fondness is Jose Muldoons, which once resided in the same location as Boulder Social.
