2015 will be the year of Colorado hip-hop; we can feel it deep down in our bone structures. There are just too many good artists here not to get recognized nationally. There's still time to jump on the bandwagon, too. If you’re lost on where to begin try this banger of a release show coming soon featuring Smoky Bare.

Per a recent press release about his new video:

“Spencer "Smoky Bare" Laster has released the music video for "City Lights/Dreamin", the single from the "Stage Lights" EP, scheduled to drop on January 15th, 2015. The song, written by Smoky and produced by Blackbible, is a candid declaration of the rapper's allegiance to the music.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers sample is atmospheric and the video captures the euphoria of Smoky's experience with music. Leland Schmidt, who's worked with many other Colorado hit-makers (including Trev Rich, Pries, and The Famm) shot, directed, and edited the video.
