Philadelphia rapper Meek Mills has over 2.5 million twitter followers. When he got caught violating his probation, his followers did what any good Twitter followers would do, send death threats to Mill's parole officer. The DA and judge thought it was time to teach Mill's that his tweets have consequences and sentenced him to a twitter etiquette class:
Via Philly.com: Assistant District Attorney Noel Ann DeSantis told the judge Williams was prolific on Twitter and other social media. As a result of some of Williams' pronouncements, she said, his probation officer had received threats from the rapper's followers via social media. The judge said Williams needed etiquette classes to refine his use of social media and to help him explain the nature of his business to the court. She recommended that Philadelphia radio host Dyana Williams conduct the classes because of her knowledge of the music business. The judge said the etiquette classes were "more important than any concerts he might have.
Mills has 2.5 million followers. Dyana Williams has 749 so you know this is going to end well. His first tweet following sentencing, "She was suppose 2 f#£k me like a star…… Dat p#%sy overrated!"
