Yeah, we're fucking bored too. Yet instead of using the mandated downtime to reflect on the larger social vibrations of the world and how we can channel synergistic nuance to build an enlightened tomorrow … we've used it to find several bottoms of White Cheddar Popcorn bags and gargle Fireball like it's mouthwash.

Not so for Colorado's artists, however. Most have found productive and creative excitement behinds closed doors, continuing to create and deliver some of the greatest music this nation has to offer.

SALUTE!

WATTSANADA – "QUARANTINE FANTASY"

As members of the popular act The Motet, Dave Watts and Lyle Divinsky are usually touring extensively around this time of the year gifting a unique blend of funk and soul to the masses. Under lockdown? They've resorted to this, an uplifting anthem to soothe the madness.

PAISHA LOVE – "GIMME LOVE"

There's nothing to be ashamed of, we're all adults here: y'all have been fuckin' during isolation. No? Whether you have or you haven't, Paisha Love has some wild visuals to help the freaky along. Her newly dropped single "Gimme Love" is a dose of sweet amongst all this sour.

THE HOLLOW – "INSOMNIIST"

And if you haven't been fuckin', you've been up at night listening to whatever nonsense your brain has decided to binge on. Is my door locked? Can mosquitos get COVID? Did that bitch really kill her husband or am I another victim of his manipulative super powers!?!? Here's The Hollow, singing about what's that like.

BONNIE FINLEY – "RUNNING FROM THE REAPER (COLFAX SPEED QUEEN COVER)"

Since 2009, local artists have been covering one another's music in a type of digital tag for musicians. This year Indie 102.3 is keeping the tradition alive and well with its "Quarantine Edition" — our favorite thus far in a sea of talent being Bolonium's Bonnie Finley and his take on Colfax Speed Queen's "Running From The Reaper."
*sigh* Do you all remember going places on Colfax? The good ol' days …

FUTURE JOY – "CIRCLES (POST MALONE REMIX/COVER)"

And not to be outdone with covers, the duo in Future Joy released likely one of the best so far. Members Zach Simms and Emily Cooper got several of their friends to send in quarantine videos of themselves going hard to Post Malone's "Circles" and fluffed up the popular single to their liking. Added bonus points for the matching jammies.
