Pregame Playlist: w/ Machine Gun Kelly
In the almost three years of holding back making a new album, Machine Gun Kelly has been far from stagnant. While he may not have been creating full collections of work in the interim (aside from the work on his new LP “General Admission,” dropping later this summer), he says in various interviews the break was to get out and know himself better, while chiseling a childish lifestyle into a more refined and mature edge. He still turns up, but it’s with a different focus than before — an essential quality in his rowdy-ass show. He’s back in Colorado for a three-day stint beginning on Sept 12 at The Ogden, heading south to Colorado Springs the next day to the Rawkus and ending it all at Boulder Theatre on Sept 14. Before he gets to town, he dealt us a hand of some of his favorite tracks to blast during the pregame.
