Melanie Martinez has released the highly anticipated video for “Carousel,” a single recently picked up by FX as a promotional tune for its American Horror Story: Freak Show trailers. The song catapulted to the Top 10 charts on iTunes shortly after the video went viral. It's so creepy – it's so us.

Melanie Martinez is a haunting and electric singer/songwriter who marginally benefits in her artistic endeavor by being recognized as a contestant on season three of The Voice, a run that ended only a few years back. But the small blip on her professional drive was something she says she never wanted to define her career moving forward.

It wasn’t until after she started revealing her creative visions via the EP “Dollhouse,” released on Atlantic Records, that the world started to see past her alluring innocence and direct attention more to the mysterious idealism she exudes with every release. She’s a little cute, a little creepy, but mostly intriguing with a heck-load of talent.

Yesterday Martinez released the highly anticipated video for “Carousel,” a single also picked up by FX as a promotional tune for its American Horror Story: Freak Show trailers. The song catapulted to the Top 10 charts on iTunes shortly after the video went viral.

Martinez is currently working on her album “Cry Baby,” which is penciled in for an early 2015 release date. She’ll also be swinging through Denver on her Dollhouse Tour – Part Two on November 11 at The Larimer Lounge.
