Sadistik, a dream-inspiring hip-hop artist from the far depths of the left – Seattle, WA – released his video for “Orange” this morning. It’s a single off of his “Ultraviolet” album we here at The Rooster considered a “trip within a trip.” Yep, we just quoted ourselves – we're going full "meta" jacket on this one.

Respect!

The video for "Orange" is an astral-like ride backed with a toe numbing, trance inspired beat. It challenges the oft-tiring monotony of contemporary hip-hop and words, words, words – it’s dope, let’s just leave it at that.

HipHopDX had the premiers of it this morning, and Sadistik had this to say to them about the video:

The concept for ‘Orange’ was drawn from the ethereal nature of the song and the use of color as an existential theme. At the start of the video I find myself in a very hollow, bland place. As the video progresses, be it through dreams or reality, my initial starkness changes and my surroundings grow vibrant with colors that eventually entrench me fully. I'm extremely excited to share these visuals with my fans and fans of both music and art as a whole!
