Not gonna lie, this video is a little on the creepy side …
Our perpetual love for Santigold notwithstanding, this woman is always on top of innovative deliveries, and always pushes the limits to what's possible in music. Her new video for "Can't Get Enough of Myself" again proves just that.
The video is an interactive playground that uses your computer's camera (or phone's, if you download her app) to awkwardly put you inside of the action. Before you go clicking over to her site, you'd better put a shirt on (or don't) because watching it at times is a little creepy — as is always the case with new technology, though.
The use of this type of real time interactivity is a first for music videos. The drop itself is a precursor to her new album due tomorrow (2/26) titled 99¢ — possibly a throwback to when a DOLLAR MEANT SOMETHING IN THIS WORLD!? We digress …
Play around with the video today (or listen to the audio below), cop the album tomorrow and then see Santigold in Denver on March 24, 2016 at The Ogden Theatre.
