But the incessant mixture of artists going from one studio to the next, trying to throw clout every which way, can get exhausting. It’s like, we get it, you’re friends with some celebrities and now you sold a verse to go on whatever and now we’re supposed to buy it. Nap time.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t some fairly fly teamwork efforts out there though. And we’re kind of digging this new trend of EDM mainstays going after rock icons to produce a different atmosphere than what we’re used to. In 2013 when Steve Aoki and Linkin Park teamed up for “A Light That Never Comes” we loved it, the teamwork works — but the two teams’ newest fare, “Darker Than Blood” is even better. So says we.

The track is reportedly a single from Aoki's upcoming album "Neon Future II" — due out May 12.
