Viper is an unstoppable and enigmatic character who pops up every now and again when his popular single “You’ll Cowards Don’t Even Smoke Crack” gets revived by a viral Facebook campaign or an outlet like VICE picks up the story and interviews him. There just simply isn't any other struggle rapper like him.
The thing about underground scenes in any genre is there is no bottom to land on. Once you think you’ve come to the end, and there is possibly nothing else to unearth, another rarity comes along and puts all other discoveries to shame. The underground is a bottomless pit with unending possibilities.
One man ruling the underground rap game right now goes by the name of Viper. He’s an unstoppable and enigmatic character popping up every now and again when his popular single “You’ll Cowards Don’t Even Smoke Crack” gets revived by a viral Facebook campaign or an outlet like VICE picks up the story and interviews him.
While his gang-affiliated, drug-selling lifestyle isn’t surprising to the rap world, it’s the way he develops his music and sends it out to his fans which is the most absurd. It’s literally a permanent flow of Viper’s consciousness, and his ability to release is unparalleled to anyone … anything … in the rap industry.
Viper has released 333 albums in 2014 – and they’re all available on Spotify. Three … hundred … and … thirty … three.
We looked. The scrolling never lets up. It goes, and goes, and goes. They’re all full albums and are all titled according to his lifestyle. What's more impressive, it’s not the worst thing we’ve ever heard (We'd take a new Viper album over a new Kanye album any day). Viper takes the phrase “struggle rapper” and builds his own definition around it – and it’s simply the most fascinating thing we’ve witnessed in our short – comparatively idle – lives. Today (Dec 19) he even uploaded a new dubstep mix titled "Warped." Haters, you'll cowards don't even dubstep.
His official bio, though written a few years back, explains the Houston rapper as, “born in El Dorado, Arkansas and moved to Houston, Texas at the age of 6. He was raised in the Hiram Clarke subdivision of Houston, Texas. He began rapping at the age of 9 and has been involved with hip hop for more than a decade. You can find him grinding and or chilling, balling, deep on his grind, or selling crack cocaine. Do Google search for Rapper Viper or Rapper Cobra for other Viper and Rapper Cobra product."
It seems rapping and dealing drugs isn’t the only thing Viper has behind his hustle. He mentions his real estate business more than a few times on his Twitter profile and seems to be doing quite well with it – if his online posts have any truth to them. Either way, we’re 100% behind Viper right now and hope things continue to ever be in his favor.
I'm takin my realestate co on the stock market soon so I need my fans 2 listen2 as much Viper online as possible 2 boostmy royalties Thanks!
