We really need to start using our resources a little more wisely, people …
Maybe not everyone hates Kanye West. Last month a petition to the president — yes, of the United States — on WhiteHouse.gov amassed more than 100,000 signatures to try and get our almighty leader to command ‘Ye to release his forthcoming album “SWISH.” As of mid-month, the petition was removed by the Illumin … er … White House officials, stating it had been nixed “from the site under our Moderation Policy because it is in violation of our Terms of Participation.” Considering 4 out of the top 20 petitions on the site, as of press time, are directly related to a Midwest dentist, we can’t imagine the leaders of the “free world” are really taking much of the peer-driven petitioning site seriously — though a call to action from the man himself to get Yeezy (or “Jackass,” as Obama calls him) to do anything would have been priceless. Celebrity and politics: where does the line get drawn anymore?
