"Mecca" was already a great song on its own; melancholy, sonically dense, chilling and intense. But with SOHN's signature drama-electro touch, it gets elevated into something darker, and more complicated. Lush distortion, spacey synth and bizarre instrumentation make you feel like you're witnessing an alien abduction, and Tom Fleming's psycho-angelic vocals do nothing to bring you back to earth. It gets a little clubby towards the middle, but that's hardly a bad thing.

Except the club is suspended in slow-motion and some profound dancing is going on. Mmm.

Also … it's kind of hot, like a really attractive baby would be the product of listening to this.
