In the spirit of giving Colorado all to mostly good news this week – while trying simultaneously to put some air back into our deflated sails – we wanted to let everyone in on a little secret. Two rock powerhouses have joined each other in performance matrimony and announced an upcoming tour schedule that includes Denver.
Taking Back Sunday and The Used will be on the road together this spring. No fooling here; the frenetic and popular duo will be in Denver on April 1st, 2014. That’s like getting your face melted off twice for the price of one solid admission. There aren’t very many lineups like this in ever so our suggestion would be to take advantage of the madness whilst you can.
Also to sweeten the deal, both bands will be releasing new albums during their monthly road travels. The guys in Taking Back Sunday will drop their newest work on March 18th, while The Used will launch its album on April 1st. Hey, look at that, the same day they’re in Denver. We feel obliged to be so special.
Via their press release:

And we’ll even do you one better. Taking Back Sunday released a video for the single “Flicker, Fade.” Says lead singer Adam Lazzara of the new piece:
We haven't made a video in a while and we didn't want to overthink it so we connected with some creative folks and said 'remember when music videos could just be about a song?' We found a cool location that we feel matched the mood of Flicker, Fade and made a performance video that showcased the song itself. The result was exactly what we were chasing. No heavy story line to distract from the mood, just a moment in time to live inside the music we created.
