To create the images, German artist Sarah Schönfeld squeezed drops of various liquid narcotic and neurotransmitter mixtures onto pre-exposed negative film. Each drop altered the coating of the film, creating a unique chemical reaction.
She then enlarged the negatives and found that all of the substances behaved very differently; the shapes and colors that appeared showed highly unique characteristics and revealed the tiny internal universes that govern your senses when you take a drug.
