… because that's when all the crazy shit is finally uploaded to YouTube …

I love a good fight. There's something about the unhitched nature of reality, watching it reduced to an archaic display of alpha-dominance in the form of standardized blows to the face. It's quick entertainment.

Which is where football comes in. It's a season where fans look for any excuse to act a fool, often from being drowned in cheap beer and the idea that you're somehow superior to another city because of the hard work and dedication of players you've never met before. Some are even willing to stand by their team so much so that physical violence gets involved, something everyone completely missed before the advent of camera phones.

Now, Tuesday is the only day to look forward to during football season, because while head-to-head matchups can be exciting, the fallout of the weekend previous is a Youtube vortex no one can escape.

Take for instance this ridiculous fight at the Rams game this past weekend …

Or check out this dude who picked a fight with the wrong guy. The hell was he even thinking?

Or from when Pat Bowlen was receiving high honors at Mile High Stadium …

Not to mention what happens during college game days …

The kids are not alright …

#10 can scrap.

Another …

The best part? Some of these fights are captured by multiple people, from different angles …

Call it a bro mentality, or perpetuating the party culture, or any other underhanded insult you can think up after ten minutes of scouring amateur blogs, but the reality here is that these circumstances exist, everywhere. And maybe they're not so much 'problems' as they are a simple reaction of shoving a bunch of people together with running testosterone and gallons of alcohol — like we expect a different outcome from that recipe for disaster?

No one should really go around punching people unprovoked, but from what most of these Tuesday morning uploads showcase are people willingly subjecting themselves to chaos with the knowledge that it isn't going to end well for either of them. Security is always a few steps away, and likely none of these people got let off with a simple warning or petty slap on the wrist.

It doesn't mean, as bystanders and voyeurs, we can't revel in another's plight. If you're going to go to blows in public, believe that people are going to be entertained by it. Mocking, teasing and possibly getting involved every step of the way. The American dream.

Tuesdays in football, there's nothing quite like it.
