Weed is a glorious thing on so many levels … but not many of us who smoke it, eat it, or shoot it into our butts are privy to the unimaginable glory it possesses on a molecular level.

But now, thanks to a handy little thing called the Scanning Electron Microscope, you can finally see how weed appears to the scientists who study it. These intimate images are from a new book of such undertakings called Cannabis Under The Microscope: A Visual Exploration of Medicinal Sativa and C. Indica by Ford McCann. The book features over 170 images of cannabis in its most minute state … and we bet if you smoke and read it at the same time, the moon will collide with the sun and fiery hot dogs will rain down from the heavens.
