Right now the ultimate party baron Andrew W.K. is at the Oakley store in New York’s Times Square deep in the midst of a substantially hardcore 24-hour drum solo. The live feed has been going on for the better part of a few days and is an attempt to shoot after a world record for the longest skin session held in a retail store. A second kit is set up mere feet away for guests to join in and help him cruise along, including The Roots’ Questlove, Zac Hanson and Nick Jonas – all specifically requested by W.K..

The attempt is part of a 24 hour live feed programming presented by Viacom promoting their O Music Awards. Details are sparse about the actual rules that the World Record committee holds him to, but he’s been quoted as saying that if he had to “urinate, defecate or vomit” while playing drums, he’d know how. In other news, Rooster researchers have finally filled in the number one position on its “Worst Hangover Days Ever” list.—Brian Frederick
