What type of music do you rock when you're creating (if any at all)?
I used to listen to drum ‘n’ bass a lot, but lately I slowed down to techno and house. Mostly deeper, atmospheric stuff — Kiasmos, Maceo Plex, Solomun and so on.

If you had to give your style a name, what would you call it?
I experiment with so many different styles, that it's kinda hard to encapsulate them all in one term. I guess it would be something like scifi-surreal-conceptart-abstract-ism?

How many hours a week would you say you're working on your art?
That fluctuates a lot. I used to work on my stuff at least 4 to 8 hours a day; but in 2017 I had to reduce it quite a bit to accommodate my work/travelling schedule. Now I guess it probably 4 to 20 hours weekly.

What attracts you most to popular brands and their logos/designs?
I'm not particularly attracted to the brands per se, but more to the memories I have tied with them and what they represent.

Favorite snack?
Oh man, that’s a tough one! I've been trying to eat more healthy this year, so I reduced my snacks to just nuts and fruit for the most part — and it's killing me. I guess milk chocolate would be my all time fave, if I had to pick.

What are some designs in your head you want to do but haven't started yet?
I want to continue this pop-culture series, currently I'm working on a Rick and Morty scene, and I plan to do some more cartoons in the future. I don't plan too much ahead, because most of my ideas come around pretty unexpectedly and I change my mind about everything at least 20 times per image.

How many art pieces would you say you've completed over your lifetime?
In 2015, 2016 and 2017 I did 483 personal images; so I guess around 500 to 600 total. Maybe a bit more if I'd include all the work I did back when I was working in an agency doing 2D; but I definitely wouldn’t call those art pieces.

Any artists, dead or alive, that you'd love to collaborate with?
Salvator Dali or René Magritte would definitely be sick to work with, not sure how the collaboration would work though. From more recent ones, I'd love to collaborate with a ton of people. To name a few: Simon Stalenhag, Mike Winkelmann.

What do you dislike the most about what you do?
Creative block and scheduling projects. I'm a quite moody person, so creative blocks are very rough on me — I just get so frustrated that can't think of anything else and I obsess about it for hours on end until I'm properly depressed. Scheduling work/projects is my Achilles' heel. Often I take too many projects at once thinking it will be okay, and then I have to work 20-hour days and do some crazy scheduling acrobatics to deliver.

What's the best advice you've ever gotten from a friend?
Frankly, I don't think I've ever gotten some really major advice from any of my friends. Or, more probably, I just didn't listen to any advice thrown my way. 🙂
