Think twice about booking plane tickets for the second weekend of Ultra Dance Music Festival. The festival has hit a speed bump that might be difficult to overcome if the City of Miami gets its way. Miami New Times reports that Miami commissioner Marc Sarnoff has introduced a resolution that aims to stop the second weekend of the event because the "event will be disruptive to the local business community and area residents due to noise, nuisance behavior of festival goers, and grid locked traffic." This in response to a complaint from business owners about the introduction of the second weekend. The event generates around $79 million for the City of Miami. The silver lining of it all is that the resolution must receive a majority vote which it has not yet done. So fear not, EDM youth, there is hope.
