In our October 2013 issue of The Rooster Magazine, we highlighted twelve of our favorite artists in our “Local Music Madness” feature. They’re all making the neatest of sounds and perpetually adding their own unique pieces to our sonic culture here in Colorado. But reading about them is only half the battle, that’s why we want to offer up some of their music. After all, nobody wants to take our word for anything, so here’s some sounds from ForeverKID to help prove that our music scene is a noble one.

Former rock musician turned electronic producer Ross Ryan is now ForeverKID. As a lead guitarist in the band Life In Electric, Ryan built a strong following of contacts and supporters in the music scene and has managed to crossover with ease into the EDM world with his anti-genre sound. The open approach to a new medium has been all but positive, and is garnering attention both locally and abroad.
In June of 2013, his single “Biology (ft. Kate Wild)” reached #20 on Beatport’s Dubstep Top 100 Chart and his single “X (ft. ORION)” impressively boasted a #60 position on the Glitch-hop Singles Chart. The two hits are off of his EP “Biology” which is the only release to date under his newly bred passion.
ForeverKID also made the cross-seas voyage last month to Moscow filling a headline spot at the Cross Bass Festival. He will be among other prominent acts back in Denver on October 8th, for a hometown show for a Sub.mission sponsored gathering at Cervantes Otherside. Ryan also has two releases coming out on FiXT this fall (one under his other alias StéLouse) that will be available via his online social sites and other online distributors.
