A Colorado Owl was rescued from the excrement basin attached to a pit toilet in Park County last month.

It’s unclear how the owl got there in the first place, but we’re assuming that it dropped an iPhone into the toilet hole. That’s usually how people have wound up there in the last few years.

An article from OutThereColorado explains that rescue workers were able to open a hatch on the vault toilet, which allowed the owl to escape.

Unfortunately, our journalistic sources have been lacking lately and we were unable to reach the owl for a comment by press time. Even if we did, we’re pretty sure that owls are incapable of speech. Maybe we were thinking of parrots?
