Bop Skizzum, a Denver based funk and soul outfit, has recently released their video for “Do Me Like That,” the first off of their full-length album “Coloradical.” The single incorporates the sultry and defining style that Skizzum has become accustomed to, while peppering in a subtle flare of hip hop, jazz and radio friendly pop. Founder Andy “ROK” Guerrero is evenly matched in vocal duties by group emcee SF1 and the beautiful Julie Almeria.
As a rising force in the local scene, Bop Skizzum also received a good bit of national attention during their quest for first place in the Global Battle of the Bands earlier this year. The group nailed an astounding 3rd place finish out of 12,000 competing international acts. 1st place winners, The Carnabys, won an opportunity to share the stage with Bruce Springsteen, The Black Crowes, Zac Brown Band and The Alabama Shakes, along with tons of new gear and a chance for a record deal with Hard Rock Records. 2nd and 3rd place prizes included thousands of dollars worth of new gear and continuing exposure to an otherwise unreachable fan base.
