Don’t hate us for showing it, we’re just the messengers of this insane shitshow …
Oh sure, we love these kinds of stories. What else could make normal people feel any better about themselves than to see the annual fuck-ton of earnings from top musical celebrities?
Forbes recently released its “Electronic Cash Kings 2015” list — a rundown of the highest paid electronic DJs and what they raked in last year. You see, they make so much dough it actually takes a full 8 months to count every penny — Scrooge McDuck who?
Topping the list is Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, who pulled in a whopping $66 million. An extremely impressive feat considering next in line is David Guetta, with near half that. Calvin Harris is on a roll, and with his cozying up to the country-gone-pop star in Swift, the two overtook Beyoncé and Jay Z as the nation’s top earning celebrity couple (shout-out to our spellcheck for knowing the right way to spell Beyoncé). Unfortunately there aren’t ladies on the list this year. Where are they? We think they deserve to get paid! Son!
Maybe next year?
Here’s the top earning DJs on the circuit right now — don’t hate us for it, we’re just the messengers of this insane shitshow …

There were also plenty of electronic acts that made a killing this past year, but Forbes didn’t list them, probably because their writers were too busy scratching each other’s head trying to figure out what they actually do to make so much money. Just kidding, they’re all hard workers …
Those acts include: Alesso, Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, Nervo, DJ Snake, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Krewella.
And we’re guessing neither of them have any student loans to settle-up on … Welcome back to school students!
