"Make Mexico Great Again" wasn't exactly a slogan during Trump's election campaign last year, but that's exactly what Texas resident Pat Bell will have to do because, guess what, motherfuckers?

She lives in Mexico now.

Or, at least she will according to the construction plans for Trump's wall, which bisect her property and place her house squarely in Margaritaville.

This is ironic in the best possible way, because ol' Pat voted for Trump … a weird move considering the wall was easily his biggest campaign platform and she owns property that would be directly affected by it. I guess you really can be on the wrong side of history. Literally.

However now, after electing the man whose policies will make her Mexican, Pat is irate. She can't quite believe that Trump's racist policies would affect her of all people. They were just supposed to affect everyone else but her.

When asked if she would fight the construction of the wall on her property despite the fact that she voted to construct that wall, she said, “Absolutely I would go to the people who are in charge. You hate to say I would get a lawyer, but if it comes to that issue, you would.”

Good luck with that, Pat. Individual property owners don't have the best luck when it comes to eminent domain. Just ask the Native Americans.

A la CNN:

In most cases, property owners have little recourse to prevent their land from being taken. The litigation typically centers on whether they were offered a fair price.

On the campaign trail, President Trump suggested property owners are paid “a fortune” for their land. Experts who have studied eminent domain dispute that.

CNN’s analysis of the litigation found that in about a quarter of the cases a judge ordered the government to pay more to those who challenged the initial compensation offer. And, the number is likely higher because the government reached out of court settlements in many cases.

Norton Colvin, a trial attorney in Brownsville who has represented many landowners, said those who don’t have the financial means to go to court can “get steam-rolled” by the process.

Pat definitely won't be the only … ex-Pat (GET IT!?) there in Newer New Mexico, though. Trump' wall plan will necessitate the seizure of many Americans' private properties, especially in Texas, a state which overwhelmingly and hilariously voted for Trump. Those who refuse to sell or, you know, don't want to be kicked off their land, will simply be reorganized to the Mexican side of the wall.

Damn. Guess you can't elect snake and expect him not to snake you specifically. Just goes to show you that you don't get to elect a con man, then cherry-pick which of their batshit policies don't inconvenience you personally.

But … none of that matters anymore to people like Pat. She's Mexican now! So spicy! And Mexicans will finally be able to get revenge by telling her to "go back from wherever she came from" despite the fact that she had no choice but to be where she is.

Karma is a wall-bitch.
