We're definitely going to try KFC's new jerk chicken now.

We live in a troubling world when the handjob joke doesn’t stand a chance against the Twitter critics of the digital sphere. No one can make the joke. Not us. Not them. Not KFC.

That appears to be the temperament of the Internet when KFC Australia launched a new Hot and Spicy chicken campaign on Twitter. Releasing the campaign at midnight, the ad featured a young couple and the insinuation that the girl was doing something naughty to the guy in the ad, most likely a handjob. But to our amusement, behind the blurred spots, there was actually a bucket of chicken. Damn, classic switcheroo.

Nonetheless, the Internet no likey and the Tweets started flying …

Fucking people. This is why we drink alone in our homes. Like all corporate fuck ups, KFC immediately removed the post and apologized sincerely for the lack of class. After all, if someone isn’t going to eat KFC, it’s probably because of the sexually offensive ad and not the question over the quality of the food.

But, there’s no such thing as bad publicity and for this, we give KFC two thumbs up and a reassurance that we’ll definitely be trying its new Jerk Chicken now.
