Is this the plot for the final Fast and Furious film?
Amateur photographer, Max Siedentopf is half artist, half asshole. He's been stalking the night, pimping the rides of Amsterdam residents against their wishes with hilarious, half-assed makeovers featuring mostly garbage. Imagine ‘Pimp My Ride’ on a tweaker budget or Xzibit’s current net worth ($10).
With only some shitty scraps of cardboard and some scotch tape, Max cartoonishly modifies the most generic cars he can find with paper spoilers and ground effects, amongst other accessories. Once he’d finished his handwork, Max documents his art with a quick photo and bolts before any angry Dutchman could beat his ass.
Max claims his motives have good intentions, telling Vice: "Individuality, self-expression, and status are more important than ever these days. But for some reason you see that things as ordinary as cars are getting personalized less and less, while it could be a strange but great form of self-expression. I thought I'd do people a favor by giving them a custom-made supercar."
Suuuure. Maybe Max is simply trying to help people channel their inner Dom from ‘The Fast and Furious’ who famously once said: “I live my life a quarter-mile at a time. Nothing else matters. Not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I’m free.”
Maybe… but we’re pretty sure Max is just being a dick.
Regardless it’s still hilarious. Here’s a look at Max Sidentopf’s pimped-out Dutch rides:
