Not only does weed make bones heal quicker, it makes them stronger as well. Miracles, man. Miracles.

Everyone knows weed is the best for headaches, cancer, depression and getting through Game of Thrones despite the fucked up British accents, but now, it's been discovered that weed can perform yet another miracle for humankind: healing broken bones.

A new study from Israel's Tel Aviv University found that rats with broken bones healed much quicker when given the non-psychoactive cannabinoid CBD.

Researchers found that the rat's bones not only healed quicker, but were also stronger and more resilient against repeated fractures, meaning the bones treated with marijuana were much less likely to break again.

Oh, Nancy. Ohhh golly. Here we go. Magic is real. Can't contain ourselves.

Oh dear lord.

What they're thinking is that this god-effect is due to a connection between cannabinoid receptors in the body and the stimulation of bone growth. Which, if you think about it, is just further proof that your body wants you to be smoking weed. Or eating it. Or rubbing it on your labia. Whatever.

One of the study's researchers, Dr. Yankel Gabet, had some promising things to say about this marijuana sorcery. He told the Times of Israel: “We found CBD alone to be sufficiently effective in enhancing fracture healing. Other studies have shown CBD to be a safe agent, which leads us to believe we should continue this line of study in clinical trials to assess its usefulness in improving human fracture healing.”

So, for anyone who doubts the effectiveness of weed as a medical treatment, we invite you to snap your fibula a little, because there's jolly green solution to that problem. 420 forever.
