“Came Back Haunted,” is the new single off of the powerfully anticipated album Hesitation Marks, from the industrial rock outfit Nine Inch Nails. And had we read the released warning that came with the new video before, we wouldn’t be wiping foam out of our mouths half concussed. Regardless, the new release should be taken with caution as the imagery can also be a bit disturbing to those who haven’t already been desensitized by other disconcerting things, like the news and, you know, real life.

“WARNING: This video has been identified by Epilepsy Action to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.”

The vividly dark and engrossing video spends much of its time flashing hyper-realistic horror scenes and contains common visuals that have more-or-less defined NIN in the past few decades. More of the same, which is never a bad thing coming from an inarguable legend.

The new album will be released on September 3rd, 2013 via Columbia Records, which makes this their first on a major label since 2007’s Year Zero. Tension 2013, the accompanying tour, will meander its way around the states later this fall and visits Broomfield at the 1st Bank Center on November 13.
