Cats and fails, we're guessing they all come from cats and fails …

You there, the one with the 17 open tabs not at all related to work and/or school. We’re talking to you: We’ve found that the amount of time spent on YouTube is astronomical, and you’re probably part of the problem. What’s worse is that you’re watching the same 5 percent of videos everyone else is. We’ll explain …

In a report released by ReelSEO.com, it turns out that only 5 percent of videos uploaded to YouTube account for more than 95 percent of all views. The fuck!?

On any given minute of the day, there are approximately 400 hours worth of video uploaded to the site. In addition, there are at least 1.1 billion videos currently on the site that account for more than 7.8 trillion all time views (and counting), with only 58.6 million of those videos (5 percent) garnering 7.4 trillion views. That’s a whole lotta numbers with a whole lotta viewing hours …

In short, you may still have time to delete some of those embarrassing tirades you uploaded when you were 14 before the world catches on and they go viral, but chances are nobody has given a flying fuck about your content yet and sure as hell won’t waste any time viewing it in the future. You’re probably safe …

Because mostly what users want are viral music videos, considering there are 10 videos past the “billion view” mark, and all of them come from pop stars. Pop stars that are … nevermind, if you don’t have anything nice to say, and all of that …

Additionally, the most searched keywords for YouTube are Movies, Minecraft and, yep, you probably guessed it, Music.

If you’re interested, here are the only 10 videos with more than a billion views on YouTube. Do we see a pattern, class?

To recap: The world spends an unbelievable amount of time on YouTube, and now that they've gone and announced a subsciption tier for specific content, there's going to be a metric fuck-ton of money headed YouTube's way — on top of the earth-load it already makes. Welcome to the new world, ladies and gentlemen …
