If you've ever listened to Lana Del Rey's latest album Ultraviolence, you know it's gloomy, dark, and makes you want to cry like the Crying Indian in the Keep America Beautiful commercial. You know what else brings out the same melancholy from deep within your loins? Cemeteries! So it makes sense that human-ghost Lana Del Rey would be performing in one, right?

Right. See ya later, sense of hope, optimism, and general well-being!

The saddest girl in all the world will be playing two shows at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in L.A. on October 17th and 18th.  Flanking her will be the ghosts of famous musicians like Dee Dee and Johnny Ramone, as well as Mel Blanc, all three of whom have earthly remains buried at the cemetary. Although we don't know how much Mel Blanc will contribute to Lana's set.

If you hate happiness, or ran out of makeup remover and need to moisten your eyes to the point that your mascara sloughs off in horrific chunks, you should totally go!

But you, Lana, and the other concert attendees won't be the only weepers and criers; the rest of the world is currently bawling after she canceled her European tour dates due to "medical issues," which for her, probably means that one of the souls living inside of her tried to get out.

Hollywood Forever Cemetary was the inspiration for Father John Misty's song … wait for it … "Hollywood Forever Cemetary," and is home to more than a few creepy performances throughout the year, including one by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs this August. But, for all it's dark performances, cemetary event coordinators have just one rule: "No death metal." Lana's brand of "Forlorn sadness crying crying crying pop," however, is more than welcome.
