‘Technology is used here not merely functional but also as a tool to create intimacy as well as privacy on a direct, personal level which in our contemporary tech society is becoming increasingly important.’

He has the intimacy part correct, we just aren't sure about the whole privacy thing.  Either way, if guys had electric fabric boxers, they probably wouldn't even need to wear them in the first place. Get it? Because they are always aroused. Ok, bad joke.
