A man who went missing at sea 66 days ago was just rescued by the Coast Guard, who apparently found him floating on the overturned hull of his destroyed boat hundreds of miles off the coast of North Carolina.

Apparently, way back in January, he set sail from South Carolina on an offshore fishing trip when his mast broke and his communications gear was ruined in the midst of a rough storm.

At that point he became disabled and adrift, but he miraculously survived through a combination of rationing the food he had already packed for the journey, drinking rain water and catching fish with a net he just happened to have.

Moral of the story? If you're gonna get lost at sea … at least get lost at sea right.
