A group of young Iranians were arrested by local police when a YouTube video of them dancing to Pharell’s song “Happy” surfaced on the internet.

The video, titled "Happy in Tehran," was uploaded to Youtube in April and viewed 165,000 times, gaining international traction on numerous news and entertainment sites. Well, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we’ve seen the video, and it’s about as innocuous as a puppy dressed in an Ewok costume … but that didn’t stop Iranian authorities, from forcing the dancers to repent on national TV, claiming they’d been “tricked” into making the video. According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, police chief Hossein Sajedinia called the video "vulgar" and said it "hurt public chastity.”

Okay, Iran, we agree that it’s not that good of a song, we don’t quite think it’s bad enough to be arrested for dancing to. It’s no “Roar” by Katy Perry or anything …
