Secrets from the only people who know what's going on …

Most people know how terrible fast food is — but the real truth came out when the Internet asked fast food workers "What should we never order from you?" Next time you hit a personal low and walk into a fast food place, now you'll know the secrets.

All Starbucks food is reheated frozen food. Ridiculous how little people realize that. Doesn't mean it doesn't taste good, it's just not fresh at all and incredibly overpriced.

Starbucks — don't order something from the "secret menu". We sure as shit don't know what a Snickerdoodle frappuccino is, as it is not a menu item. Employees would be more than happy to make you a drink if you just explain the recipe rather than the name of it. I'll make you diabetes in a goddamn cup if you just tell me what you want in there. Just don't get mad at me for not knowing a whole menu customers created.

Currently a service manager at chipotle. All peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes now come pre shredded and washed. Steak also now is pre cooked (well heated in hot water before being shipped to us).. Really the only in house prep we still do is dicing onions and jalapeños and making guac. Everything else is coming pre shredded and ready to serve at a central kitchen. Edit: no changes to chicken. Chicken and steak is still cooked on the grill. Chicken is still in house marinated. Steak is in house marinated as well just comes pre heated already and when we throw it on the grill it's only for 30 seconds each side..

I used to work at Chipotle, and never ever ever order the Tacos. You get less than half the regular portions. Instead, order a bowl with whatever you want in it, then ask for the taco shells, hard or soft, on the side.

If you're really short on time, don't count on chicken tenders or grilled chicken sandwiches or salads being made quickly at Burger King. I remember that the tenders took forever to cook and we didn't really make them that often, so most times they were made to order. Same for the grilled chicken.
Everything else is whatever, I mean, still shitty because it's burger King but the normal amount of shitty.

I used to work at 7-11, so i'm gonna say any of the taquitos or hotdogs around midnight, up through about 4 or 5AM. around midnight you can be almost assured that these are now high-mileage. That hotdog might have more miles than your car.

I work at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Don't get anything other than the wings. That's the only quality thing there. Everything else is frozen shit.

Learned my lesson with the """flatbread pizza""". Triple quotations for extra sarcasm. Tasted like someone took an old piece of uncooked pita bread, smeared some Lunchables pizza sauce on it, and finished it off with imitation cheese. It was the kind of pizza that was both soft and somehow hurt your mouth anyway.
I learned to never again order anything that was not chicken wings. Though to be fair, their fries and pita strips are not that bad, hard to fuck up deep frying some frozen potatoes and bread strips.

Worked at Carls Jr (or Hardee's for you east coast peeps). Chicken Tenders. We were supposed to throw them out after 20 minutes. We were told not to do that. We would sometimes serve 1-2 hour old tenders. Now when they are fresh they are fucking great as we would hand bread them. You can always ask to make them fresh but expect to wait 5-10 minutes.

Don't be one of those people that orders fries from McDonalds with no salt then ask us for salt packets right after we give you your food.  I understand people can't have salt for medical reasons, but 90% of the time it's people in their mid-20s, who 100% of the time ask for salt afterwards. I don't care what you read up on Buzzfeed. If you want fresh fries, ASK US.

Don't order the salad. We have to add a butt-load of fatty ranch dressing and fried chicken to cover up the taste of the vile, old iceberg lettuce.

If you see something on the menu and can't find at least one or two other items that the ingredients could be used in, don't order it. For example, my restaurant has a pulled pork sandwich. We don't use the pork for anything else. Since it's not ordered too frequently, it's not fresh and the product you're eating might be days or weeks old. It's not going to get you sick, but it definitely won't be as fresh as the other things on the menu.
