She's resourceful, we'll give her that …

Debilitating consequences are the absolute worst part of making a bad decision. Isn’t that kind of the point, however? Get involved with some bad juju and end up paying the price? For one Texas State University student, the consequences of her actions hit deep after a night of partying. But she’s making the most out of it — now driving around town in a toy Barbie Jeep because she no longer has a license.

Tara Monroe, a junior studying industrial engineering, may have gotten a little too turnt one night at a Waka Flocka show and found herself on the wrong side of the law. When she refused to take a breathalyzer at a DWI stop, her license was automatically revoked — as per state law — and Monroe was subsequently ripped of her driving privileges.

So she perused Craigslist looking for another ride to get her to and fro. What she found was “Charlene” — a $60 pink Barbie Jeep that some toddler had already grown out of. It won’t go much faster than 5 mph, but she says it’s a hell of a lot better than riding a bike around school.

“Riding a bike around campus sucks,” she tells MySA.com. “Like really sucks.”

She's making a bad situation better, and likely highlighting some sort of underlying moral to her story — do the crime, end up on a Barbie Jeep.

“This is the best way I could have gotten my 15 minutes of fame,” she said. “Basically, it was the best decision I’ve made in college, yet…”
