We're a giving people here and want to hook you up with an incredible weekend.
This weekend, Denver hosts one of the gnarliest things the area has had in quite some time. The Coors Light NHL Stadium Series™ is all set up at our Coors Field and ready to have the Colorado Avalanche take on the Detroit Red Wings Saturday, Feb 27 — but before that, an alumni game featuring some of the all time hockey greats will heat up the ice with the official Alumni Game on Friday, Feb 26. To celebrate this grandiose occasion, we're giving away a pair of tickets to BOTH nights for one valued reader. Head over to our Instagram page to enter — you don't have much time! Go. Go? GO!
There's also plenty of events scheduled around the big weekend: The Coors Light Center Ice Beer Summit (closed to the public) will take place at the ViewHouse in LoDo and will feature master of ceremonies Jeremy Roenicke speaking with hockey icons Adam Foote (former Colorado Avalanche defenseman) and Detroit Red Wings' defenseman Larry Murphy about their past historic feud.
“No one knows better than Foote and Murphy about how to push past obstacles to stay at the top of their game for so many years,” says Elina Vives, senior director of marketing for the Coors Family of Brands. “The Coors Light Center Ice Beer Summit is the perfect time for them to come together over The World’s Most Refreshing Beer to celebrate how a great rivalry can push you to do the extra work required to be even better.”
But since that's closed to the public and we know you want to get out where the gettin' is good, Coors Light has also planned interactive experiences for fans all over.
"Fans also can experience the new Coors Light interactive activation space that tells the Coors Light story while inspiring consumers to reach new heights. The area will feature three tents within the NHL Stadium Series™ Spectator Plaza, the free fan festival outside Coors Field’s Gates C and D set for Friday, Feb. 26, and Saturday, Feb. 27. One tent will house a “media mountain” with social connectivity, interactive elements and a large bar. Another will feature a “gaming mountain” with video games and bubble hockey, and lastly there will be an interactive music tent with a live DJ.
Working in cooperation with TEAM Coalition, Coors Light also will continue to help hockey fans designate a driver and get home safely from the event."
Cheers to the weekend!
